Ride Types
Official Sunday Rides -
Group 5 -
Challenging rides for the more experienced. These rides go at a faster pace (18-20 mph) and cover a significant distance or lumpier course, usually 50-80 miles. On these rides, we will usually have at least one café stop.
Group 4 -
These rides are ideal for riders keen on building their experience. Distance, 40 - 60 miles, and the speed will depend on the ability of the group on the day, but will typically be 16-18 mph. The route will include medium and maybe steeper hills.
Group 3 -
Our G3 rides will generally be of similar length to G4 but will usually be a slightly flatter profile. The ride speed will be a bit lower at 14-16 mph. A stop at one of our favourite cafes will be assured.
Group 2 -
A flat or undulating route of 30-40 miles also at 14-16 mph. A ride designed for those who enjoy a shorter outing with a coffee.
Official Wednesday Rides - Summer Months

Rides of about two hour duration set out from Alf Jones with groups set up on the night so that we can ride safely in groups of similar ability.
